Wolf Creek-NOT Powder Town

Lately, there has been a lot of controversy in our wonderful little valley about Powder Mountain trying to turn into it's own little town. Many of the locals are not too happy about it which has caused some disputes, and anger, and annoyances etc. etc. I am very sorry for all of the people caught up in the whole mess, but let me just make one thing clear.. Wolf Creek Utah is NOT INVOLVED with the development or investment of the Powder Mountain Town.
With that said, we still  encourage all of our guests to go and experience Powder Mountain Resort. It is a huge, awesome ski resort with endless amounts of powder, hardly any crowds, and spectacular backcountry skiing and catskiing. Trust me, I know from experience! Just check out my last blog. I even go there when it isn't open. Our lodging http://wolfcreekutah.com/lodging.php is just 5 minutes down the road, we send geusts there all the time And yes, they come back from a day of skiing with smiles on their faces.

It is also important for me to point out that you can still buy a home through Wolf Creek Utah  just minutes away from Powder Mountain and not have to worry about getting caught up in the mess of the Powder Town.http://wolfcreekutah.com/real-estate.php I am not a Real Estate Agent, and know very little about buying or selling. But, one thing is for sure we have staff that can help you with any of the needs you might have! Ask for Shannon shannon@wolfcreekutah.com

Early Season Snowboarding

The last storm didn't give us nearly as much snow as I would have liked, but we got a few runs out of it. Just minutes away from Wolf Creek Utah Lodging, is Powder Mountain resort. Stay in a luxury home and ski all you want.
Powder Mountain isn't open yet, but that never stops my husband, dogs, and me from get first tracks. A short hike got us a fairly decent run- no moisture at all in the snow made it some of the lightest snow ever.  But be warned, the snow was so light, that we were hitting a few rocks below. Just make sure to have your old gear.
We ran into some dudes building jumps and hitting rails. If this sounds like your kid, and you want a fun Halloween getaway, give them a heads up about this.

The Snow is Coming

It is here! The snow has arrived and now I am ready for winter. It will take a bit more for Wolf Creek Utah Ski Resort to open, but it isn't too early to start gearing up for it. I am making sure I have my pass ready to Wolf Creek and  Powder Mountain. If I could figure out how to get a discount at Snowbasin, I would be getting that pass too.
My nephews are signing up for the After School Program at Wolf- Mom wants to keep em' busy for the winter. The program starts Jan. 26th and I can't wait to teach them in the Program.  Stay tuned for upcoming deals at the mountain, and how the snow is all around the upper Ogden Valley
